Food is life :-) This holds perfectly true for me! Just when I was having one of those days when nothing seems perfect, things took an unexpected turn :-)
The smell and the sight of good food brings instant happiness. Even more when you are the reason behind it.
Cooking was one of those things I absolutely hated to do. But now I cook what I love to eat and somehow it seems fairly simple!
So I made momos again, this time with a slight change in the earlier recipe. I used wheat aatah completely instead of a mix of Maida and Wheat. More healthy and not much of difference in the taste also.
But the winner of the day was Bread Kulfi!!! Just amazingly awesome and extremely easy to make! I would recommend this for every beginner, this can really make you confident about cooking. Isn't it wonderful to make something so yummy? :-)
Ingredients:
Bread slices -6
Corn starch - about 1-2 tbsp
Almond and Pista mixture - half a cup
Milk- 1/2 litre
Saffron- 5-6 strands
Condensed milk - 1/2 tin
Method:
First cut the edges of the bread and grind them in a mixie and keep aside. Boil milk on medium flame, add condensed milk to it and stir it well. Add the almond pista mixture, saffron strands and corn starch. Stir well to ensure there are no loops formed. Make the consistency to that of custard. Add this to the bread crumbs and grind again in the mixer.
Pour this mix into Kullhads or Kulfi tubes and set them to freeze :-)
Enjoy the yummy bread kulfi :-)
